Map Testing is administered to students in grades 3-12 in August, January, and May. The mid-year testing allows teachers to make mid-year adjustments to their teaching strategies in order to improve student learning for each individual student. We take this test and its results very seriously. This information allows us to make improvements concerning the academic instruction of each child. It is important that they take this test seriously and that they are well rested and eat a good breakfast before the test. I am happy to announce that we continue to see growth across the three different subject areas of the test; however we are still low in most classes in reading. This year Mrs. Barrios and Ms. Murfield will be working with the students in improving their literacy skills to hopefully see some improvement in these areas.
